The short answer

There's no single UK price for paintball: every field sets its own. What you pay depends on three things — the entry fee, how many paintballs you use, and whether you're booking a walk-on game or a private party for your group.

The good news is that you can see the full price before you go. On TACPLAY, every session shows its price per player and every party package shows its price per group, so you can compare the fields near you side by side.

What the price usually includes

Most UK fields build the price from the same few parts:

  • Entry fee per player — your place in the games for the day or session.
  • Kit hire — a marker (paintball gun), a full-face mask and usually overalls or a vest. Often included in the entry fee; some fields let you bring your own gear for less.
  • Paintballs — a starting amount is often included, and extra paintballs are sold on the day. This is where costs add up, so check how many are included.
  • Extras — lunch, drinks, photos or private use of a game zone.

Walk-on games vs private parties

A walk-on (open) session is the cheapest way to play: you book a place per person and join other players on the day. It's ideal if you're on your own or a small group.

Private parties — kids' birthdays, stag and hen dos, team building — are usually priced per group. You get the field or a zone to yourselves, a marshal, and a fixed time slot, which often works out good value for bigger groups.

How much for 10 people?

For a group of ten, compare two options: ten places on a walk-on session (price per player × 10), or one party package priced per group. Groups often save with a package because kit hire and paintballs are bundled. On TACPLAY each party package shows its group size and price up front.

Five ways to pay less

  • Play midweek — some fields price quiet weekdays lower than weekends and bank holidays.
  • Book online in advance — you see the full price and avoid surprises on the day.
  • Use your own gear if you have it — look for an “own gear” option.
  • Pace your paintballs — the starting amount goes further if you don't spray every shot.
  • Look for vouchers and discounts — fields on TACPLAY run deals you can find in the app.
