01How Ranked Points work

This is not designed as a traditional Elo system where players continuously gain and lose rating based on opponent probability.

TACPLAY Ranked Points reward verified competitive participation and results.

02Who can participate?

Ranked competition is available to TACPLAY Premium Players. To earn Ranked Points a player must:

  • Have an active Premium account.
  • Participate in an approved ranked match.
  • Be registered for the match.
  • Complete required check-in.
  • Meet match eligibility requirements.
  • Have a valid result recorded.

Free TACPLAY users can view ranking information but do not earn Ranked Points from ranked matches.

03Everyone starts at zero

Every player begins their TACPLAY ranking journey at:

  • Starting score

    0 points

There is no artificial starting advantage. Your score is built through participation in verified ranked paintball.

04Individual ranked matches

Players receive:

  • Win

    +50

  • Draw

    +20

  • Loss

    +10

There are no negative deductions for losing a match. The objective is to reward competition and encourage players to keep participating rather than discouraging people from ranked play.

05Ranked team matches

When competing as part of a verified team match, each eligible player receives:

  • Winning team

    +10

  • Draw

    +5

  • Losing team

    +2

Only eligible players who actually participate in the ranked match can receive points.

06Why TACPLAY rewards participation

Paintball grows when players play. TACPLAY's ranking model therefore rewards both performance and participation.

Winning earns the greatest reward, but participating in a verified ranked game still contributes to the player's journey.

07Verified ranked matches

Not every paintball game counts toward rankings. Ranked Points are awarded only for approved ranked matches. A ranked match may require:

  • Match registration before play.
  • Premium player eligibility.
  • TACPLAY booking or match registration.
  • QR or approved attendance verification.
  • Match participation.
  • Submission of the result.
  • Result confirmation.
  • TACPLAY integrity checks.

This helps keep the leaderboard credible.

08QR verified attendance

Where QR check-in is available, the player's unique TACPLAY booking or match QR code can confirm attendance at the field.

This helps prevent players receiving Ranked Points for games they did not attend.

09Result confirmation

Ranked results may require confirmation by one or more authorised participants, such as:

  • Opposing player.
  • Team captain.
  • Field representative.
  • Match official.
  • TACPLAY administrator.

Points should not become permanently confirmed until the required verification process is complete.

10Ranking integrity

TACPLAY may monitor ranking activity for unusual behaviour. Examples include:

  • Fake matches.
  • Repeated manufactured results.
  • Unusual match frequency.
  • Results involving players who did not check in.
  • Multiple accounts controlled by the same person.
  • Collusion.
  • Duplicate results.
  • Field manipulation.
  • Suspicious point accumulation.

Automated systems may help identify unusual activity. They do not replace appropriate human review of serious ranking disputes.

11Ranking disputes

Players can report a result where they believe:

  • The result is incorrect.
  • They did not participate.
  • The match was incorrectly classified as ranked.
  • The wrong players were recorded.
  • A duplicate result has been entered.
  • There has been manipulation or cheating.

A disputed result may be temporarily frozen while TACPLAY investigates.

12Admin review

TACPLAY administrators may:

  • Confirm the result.
  • Reject it.
  • Correct it.
  • Remove incorrectly awarded points.
  • Restore missing points.
  • Suspend ranked eligibility.
  • Investigate repeated manipulation.

Every ranking adjustment should be retained in the system's audit history rather than silently changing a player's score.

13Ranking views

As TACPLAY expands, ranking tables can be presented by:

  • Region.
  • Country.
  • Individual player.
  • Team.
  • Match type.
  • Community.

This gives players meaningful competition closer to home while allowing top performers to progress into larger TACPLAY leaderboards.

14Ranked Points are about more than a number

Rankings should ultimately support:

  • Player recognition.
  • Team competition.
  • Regional rivalries.
  • Ranked events.
  • Player achievements.
  • Profile badges.
  • Community engagement.
  • Future rewards.
  • Competitive paintball growth.

Play. Compete. Climb the rankings.

Gear up. Match up. Level up.
