Community Guidelines

TACPLAY exists to bring the paintball community together. Whether you are looking for players in your area, organising a weekend game, joining a team, discussing an upcoming event, selling equipment or competing in ranked matches, TACPLAY should be a place where everyone can participate safely and respectfully.

02Respect the community

Paintball brings together players of different ages, nationalities, abilities, disciplines and experience levels. Competitive play is encouraged. Personal abuse is not.

Do not:

  • Harass, intimidate or bully another user.
  • Threaten another player, field owner or TACPLAY team member.
  • Repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop.
  • Target users with degrading or humiliating comments.
  • Deliberately provoke or organise harassment against another person.
  • Use discriminatory or hateful language.
  • Encourage violence outside legitimate sporting activity.

Friendly rivalry and competitive discussion are part of paintball. Personal attacks are not.

03Hate speech and discrimination

TACPLAY does not permit content that attacks, degrades or promotes hatred against people based on protected or personal characteristics. This includes abusive content relating to characteristics such as:

  • Race
  • Nationality
  • Ethnic origin
  • Religion
  • Sex
  • Gender
  • Sexual orientation
  • Disability
  • Age

TACPLAY may remove content and restrict accounts where behaviour crosses the line from sporting rivalry into harassment, discrimination or hate.

04Threats and violence

Paintball is a combat-style sport, but TACPLAY must clearly distinguish sporting activity from genuine threats. Do not use TACPLAY to:

  • Threaten physical violence.
  • Encourage attacks against another person.
  • Organise real-world violence.
  • Glorify or promote criminal violence.
  • Threaten fields, organisers, officials or players.

Discussion of legitimate paintball gameplay, tactics and sporting competition is permitted.

05Keep TACPLAY about paintball

Regional communities exist primarily to help people participate in paintball. Relevant conversations include:

  • Finding players.
  • Arranging games.
  • Looking for teams.
  • Recruiting team members.
  • Discussing fields.
  • Sharing event information.
  • Paintball equipment.
  • Tournament discussion.
  • Woodsball.
  • Scenario paintball.
  • Magfed.
  • Speedball.
  • Training.

  • Community activity.

Occasional general conversation is fine. Persistent spam, unrelated advertising or disruptive content may be removed.

06No illegal or dangerous content

TACPLAY must not be used to promote, advertise, sell or arrange illegal goods or activities. Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:

  • Real firearms.
  • Live ammunition.
  • Explosives.
  • Illegal weapons.
  • Controlled drugs.
  • Stolen goods.
  • Counterfeit goods.
  • Fraud.
  • Criminal services.
  • Instructions intended to facilitate serious illegal activity.
  • Dangerous modifications to equipment that could create an unreasonable safety risk.

Legitimate discussion of paintball markers and paintball equipment is permitted.

07Paintball is not real-weapon trading

TACPLAY is a paintball platform. Marketplace listings and community conversations involving paintball markers must clearly relate to equipment intended for legitimate paintball use.

Users must not attempt to use TACPLAY to disguise sales of real firearms or other prohibited weapons as paintball equipment.

TACPLAY reserves the right to remove any listing or content where the status, legality or intended use of an item cannot reasonably be established.

08No sexual, exploitative or inappropriate content

TACPLAY is a sporting community. Pornographic, sexually exploitative or sexually threatening content is prohibited.

Content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the appropriate authorities where required.

09Protect personal information

Do not publish another person's private information without their permission. This includes:

  • Home address.
  • Private telephone number.
  • Personal email address.
  • Financial information.
  • Identity documents.
  • Private messages.
  • Precise private location.
  • Information intended to intimidate or expose another person.

Users should also think carefully before publishing their own personal information in public community channels.

10Profiles must be genuine

Do not:

  • Impersonate another player.
  • Impersonate a field owner.
  • Impersonate TACPLAY.
  • Create misleading field accounts.
  • Use another organisation's identity deceptively.
  • Create accounts specifically to evade a suspension or ban.

TACPLAY may request verification where an account appears suspicious.

11Protect younger players

TACPLAY wants younger players to be able to participate in paintball safely where legally and operationally appropriate. Users must never:

  • Sexually communicate with minors.
  • Request sexual images from minors.
  • Attempt to groom or exploit a young person.
  • Pressure a young person to disclose private personal information.
  • Use TACPLAY to arrange inappropriate contact with a minor.

TACPLAY may apply additional communication restrictions, age controls and privacy safeguards to younger users. Serious concerns may be escalated immediately.

12No scams or fraud

Do not use TACPLAY to:

  • Create fake marketplace adverts.
  • Request fraudulent payments.
  • Sell equipment you do not own.
  • Misrepresent equipment.
  • Promote fake events.
  • Impersonate fields.
  • Harvest personal details.
  • Conduct phishing.
  • Send fraudulent links.
  • Manipulate another user into transferring money.

Suspicious behaviour can result in immediate account restrictions.

13Marketplace behaviour

Marketplace users must also comply with the separate TACPLAY Marketplace Rules.

Remember: TACPLAY facilitates the connection between buyer and seller. TACPLAY does not handle the transaction between them, arrange shipping, verify the physical item or guarantee a sale.

14Ranking integrity

Ranked play is designed to create friendly competition within the paintball community. Users must not:

  • Submit fake matches.
  • Collude to manufacture results.
  • Create multiple accounts to generate points.
  • Claim results for players who did not participate.
  • Deliberately submit false results.
  • Abuse the ranking dispute process.
  • Manipulate field verification.

TACPLAY may review suspicious ranking activity and remove or correct invalid points.

15Spam and unwanted promotion

Do not repeatedly post:

  • Unsolicited advertising.
  • Referral links.
  • Promotional codes unrelated to TACPLAY activity.
  • Repeated identical messages.
  • Commercial promotions without permission.
  • Misleading links.

Verified fields and authorised partners may promote relevant activities through the tools provided to them.

16AI-assisted moderation

TACPLAY may use automated systems and artificial intelligence to help identify potentially harmful, prohibited or suspicious content. These systems may analyse:

  • Messages.
  • Profile text.
  • Usernames.
  • Uploaded images.
  • Marketplace adverts.
  • Event adverts.
  • Links.
  • Patterns of behaviour.
  • Ranking activity.

Automated systems assist moderation; they do not replace appropriate human oversight. Depending on the nature of the content, TACPLAY may:

  • Allow it.
  • Allow it but record a moderation signal.
  • Warn the user.
  • Prevent publication.
  • Temporarily hide content.
  • Send the content for human review.
  • Restrict certain account functions.

17Reporting content

Every member of the TACPLAY community helps keep the platform safe. Users should be able to report:

  • Messages.
  • Profiles.
  • Marketplace adverts.
  • Events.
  • Harassment.
  • Scams.
  • Suspicious accounts.
  • Ranking manipulation.
  • Prohibited items.

Reports should be confidential wherever reasonably possible. Deliberately abusing the reporting system to target another user may itself result in action.

18Blocking and muting

Where available, users can block or mute other users. Blocking may prevent the blocked user from:

  • Sending direct messages.
  • Initiating contact.
  • Interacting with certain profile features.

Blocking another user does not automatically remove either player from legitimate field bookings or competition records.

19Enforcement

TACPLAY may respond proportionately depending on severity, frequency and previous behaviour. Possible actions include:

  • Warning — for minor or first-time violations.
  • Content removal — a message, profile, image, advert or other content may be removed.
  • Temporary chat restriction — a user may temporarily lose access to community communication.
  • Feature restriction — access to the marketplace, rankings or other functionality may be restricted.
  • Temporary account suspension — the account may be prevented from using TACPLAY while the issue is investigated.
  • Permanent account suspension — serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal from TACPLAY.

Where appropriate, serious unlawful content or conduct may be referred to relevant authorities.

20Appeals

TACPLAY recognises that automated systems and human moderators can make mistakes. Where available, users may appeal significant moderation decisions. Appeals may be reviewed using:

  • Original content.
  • Context.
  • Account history.
  • User explanation.
  • Moderation records.
  • Relevant platform rules.

A successful appeal may result in content or account functionality being restored.

21Community responsibility

The principle is simple:

Compete hard. Play fair. Treat people with respect. Help paintball grow.

TACPLAY reserves the right to update these Community Guidelines as the platform, technology and communities develop. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.

Gear up. Match up. Level up.
